To make pathways for career success, our region ensures entry level employees are work ready through collaboration between college and career academies, a local four-year college, and a technical college. Additionally, dozens of well-respected colleges and universities are within an hour’s drive of any of our six counties. The Technical College System of Georgia and University System of Georgia are key allies to the SEGA Alliance,
providing invaluable input, employee training, and a stable foundation for educating your future workforce. Our talent pool is deep, educated, and hard-working.

Golden Isles College & Career Academy (GICCA) in Brunswick, GA offers hands-on, career-driven learning and guidance for high school age students and college programs for citizens of all ages through a partnership with Coastal Pines Technical College. Eighteen distinctive career curriculums developed with input from local employers ensure a ready pipeline of entry level employees who are ready for 21st century jobs. Residents of Glynn and McIntosh counties attend GICCA.
Camden County students have access to five career academies within Camden County High School: Health & Environmental Science Academy; Engineering, Architecture & Industrial Academy; Fine Arts Academy; Business Administration Academy; and Public Services Academy. These academies are composed of smaller learning communities organized around career themes and integrating academic and vocational instruction. They provide work-based learning opportunities and prepare students for postsecondary education and employment.
Other communities in the region have dedicated Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) curricula in their high schools and may have articulation agreements with area technical colleges, allowing students to simultaneously earn high school credits, technical certificates, and even college credits.
The Technical College System of Georgia provides a unified system of technical education, adult education, and customized business and industry training through programs that use the best available technology and offer easy access to lifelong education and training for all adult Georgians and corporate citizens.
Georgia Quick Start, the state's premier and internationally acclaimed workforce training program is a division of the Technical College System of Georgia. Ranked number one in the nation for multiple years, Georgia Quick Start provides highly specialized and customized training free-of-charge to qualified new, expanding and existing businesses.
In addition, the economic development offices at each technical college work every day to ensure their local companies have the customized, contract training they need to keep their workforces’ skills up-to-date and cutting edge.
In the Southeast Coastal Georgia region, Coastal Pines Technical College works with the dedicated Georgia Quick Start team who provides training services for qualified employers.
